Battersea:

After two weeks shooting in the Alps, its back to the UK for more commissions and workshops with Lapwing Suffolk. Although with a few days off to recuperate from work and play, and having been asked by a good friend to shoot some images of Battersea Power Station earlier in the year, i strolled the streets of Wandsworth Borough, shooting images of the now decommissioned coal power station. Stepping back and using a wide angle, i created some rather nice industrial images of the site:

Lapwing Suffolk:

Lapwing Suffolk provides individual learning programmes for young people who have complex barriers to learning. Over the past 3 to 4 months, I've had great pleasure in working with Matt Lucas, a budding Suffolk photographer based in Shotley, Suffolk. Together Matt and I have been out and about organising an exhibition to showcase his work whilst studying with Lapwing over the past two years. With the help of Anna McCarthy, local photographer, and Graphic Designer, Simon Green, we've facilitated Matt to reach his potential and push both personal and educational barriers. This week, as the clouds cleared and the sea wiped by, Matt and I trudged the Felixstowe shores, camera at the ready. Whilst inspiring Matt to shoot more and more, i rolled off some iconic coastal images on a blustery cum bright morning...

Matt's Exhibition will open on the week beginning the 23rd May 2011 until 24th June

On The Road with Age UK:

Over the past two weeks i've been on the road with Age Uk working on a new campaign 'Too Much Too Soon' to help women lobby the proposed second retirement age increase. More soon........

School Of Social Entrepreneurs Suffolk

After popping into the Suffolk based School Of Social Entrepreneurs I was delighted to see the guys produced two six foot banners of images taken during their student open day last month. Taken from my i-phone this picture shows how two of the images have been used:
